FUNDED QUALIFICATIONS
There are three types of qualifications available:
VRQs
NVQs
Apprenticeships
VRQ
Equivalent to an NVQ Level 1, the Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ) is ideal for providing a valuable, detailed insight into your chosen sector. VRQs are available to work based learners in the following sectors:
· Retail Operations
· Customer Service (available early 2007)
· Administration (available early 2007)
· Team Leading (available early 2007)
· Logistics (available early 2007)
The learning programme is designed to suit the inexperienced that wish to pursue a career in their selected sector and also for the more experienced operator who perhaps has no formal qualification. The learning programme is delivered on an assess-train-assess basis with one-to-one support from the trainer/assessor.
Achievers can progress on to the respective National Vocational Qualification at Level 2. These National Vocational Qualifications are also available at higher levels; Levels 3 - 5.
NVQs
NVQs are a nationally recognised qualification. Achievement demonstrates to employer and colleagues that you have been trained in the skills they need. Candidates can either progress from a Level 1 VRQ or begin at Level 2. Candidates working in retail may choose to select the customer service NVQ as a precursor to the NVQ in retail operations. We offer NVQ Level 2 and 3 in the following sectors:
Retail - Levels 1,2, 3
Customer Service - Levels 2,3
Food and Drink - Levels 2, 3
Administration - Levels 2, 3
Hairdressing - Levels 2,3
Team Leader - Level 2
Warehousing and Logistics - Level 2
Distribution, Warehousing and Storage - Levels 2, 3
Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are to all individuals aged between 16 and 24 years. Apprentices learn on the job, gaining skills and qualifications as well as earning money. You gain a nationally recognised qualification that shows employer you have been trained in the skills they need.
Apprentices also spend time away from work with a learning provider, generally a local college, studying for vocational qualifications to help you at work.
We offer both Foundation Apprenticeships at Level 2 and Advanced Apprenticeships at Level 3 in:
Retail
Customer Service
Hairdressing
Food and Drink
Administration
Prospective Apprentices will receive a rigorous initial assessment with their employer and The Training Partnership which incorporates the Foundation Certificate. Having completed the assessment, a decision will be made as to which is the appropriate apprenticeship to follow.
